Firewall Server
EasyServer manages firewall rules to protect the LAN from information packages travelling from and towards external nets, particularly Internet. EasyServer allows to intercept the net packages to analyse their content and to filter them out consenting the application of a series of web security rules, such as the inclusion or the exclusion of data flow segments, authorizing or preventing the flow towards their destination.

Proxy Server
EasyServer integrates an active protection system of the LAN through a proxy system, in order to manage for web access rules. EasyServer works as a security barrier between the LAN and the WAN, preventing to other Internet users to access to LAN confidential information.
Moreover managing a cache memory system for the sharing of frequently used documents while surfing, it allows to reduce net traffic remarkably

Perimetrical Antivirus
While surfing, each travelling item is analyzed by an antivirus system integrated in EasyServer. That avoids the risk of a propagation of a possible attack to the LAN and ensures a high protection level that limits the event before it infects other PCs.

Antispam and virus check on e-mail attachments
EasyServer is provided with an antispam and virus check system on e-mail attachments. It does not eliminate the message but it warns on the possibility that the message could be an unwanted e-mail message

Filtering rules
EasyServer monitors each surfing event and through the use of rules, authorizes or prevents, IP addresses or user group web surfing. The rules are expressed through the web profiles of "Restriction " or " Authorization" toward one or more web sites . When the Restriction rules are applied , the PC or the user, can surf freely except for those web sites which have a restricted access. This rule uses some easily manageable criterions thanks to which the system administator finds out the unwanted web sites through Blacklists". The Blacklists are already in the system and are automatically and constantly updated. Anyway the administrator can integrate them or create some personal lists managing them autonomously. When an Authorization rule is applied , the PC or the user, can only surf those sites with an authorized access, preventing the visualization of other sites.

Statistics
EasyServer gives back statistic data about Internet connection use. It allows the personal data processing to identify inappropriate use of the wan.
IP group creation
EasyServer allows to assess the workstation inside your Lan by identifying IP addresses . The IP addresses can be inserted in proper groups. The group can be easily inserted on the Firewall and proxy rules, speeding up the server configuration process on the LAN.
User group creation
As in IP case, EasyServer allows to assess the user who will connect themselves to the WAN through your Lan. The users can be inserted in proper groups. When to a surf rule is associated one or more user groups, if there is a surfing request the PCs of your LAN, will launch an user-password based autentication system

Daily time band Surfing
With EasyServer it is possible to determine surfing rules based on the singling out of time bands for all the days of the week. It is possible, for example, to create a rule to prevent that a certain group could connect to Internet from 18.30 to 07.30, all the days of the week.

Download Management
Permission management to download is easily manageable through Easy Server. The system allows the users to associate to web profiles, generated as authorized dowloadable files. EasyServer checks the real nature of the file, not only checking the extension; (in fact if there are files that hide other content, such as a ZIP extension ) but it also checks the permission associated to the web profile and authorizes or denies the access to the file ,by analysing their content.

Net address Translation (NAT)
If different users are connected to Internet, Easy Server allows them to share the same Internet connection
VPN(Virtual Private Network)
EasyServer permits to create a private data network using a shared telecommunication infrastructure. Through VPN technology it is possible to create a private network which can only be used by authorized people inside the shared net structure. Through a public network as Internet, it is possible, using check system mechanisms (user authentication), ensuring the data and creating a reserved and protected exchange area .
DMZ(Demilitarized zone)
EasyServer allows to create a demilitarized zone outlining a net zone which is not situated either inside or outside of the protected domain. Through the use of public IP to assign to the DMZ, it is possible, for example, to create a web site, a proxy server, a mail server, etc.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
EasyServer offers the dynamic configuration of the host IP address and to assign other configuration parameters to authorized net client. EasyServer guarantees TCP/IP net configuration safe, reliable and easy; it also prevents addresses conflicts allowing to use net client IP. Moreover it is possible to set EasyServer with Firewall and web rules applied to static LAN IP . In the same time it allows to apply the rules to LAN IP addresses from the EasyServer DHCP
DNS (Domain Name Service)
EasyServer includes a DNS server. It allows to all the LAN workstations to solve domain names.

NDIS (Network Intrusion Detection System)
EasyServer allows to identify all the event sequence generated by non authorized users who can compromise the system or the LAN. EasyServer gathers and keeps all the tracks of the occurred attacks. In order to identify the attack's authors and to discourage further hostile actions.
Through a proper signature database, constantly updated, it is possible to recognize a typical attack pattern.
EasyServer allows:
- personalized rules definition to regard incidental vulnerabilities that may be found by a risk assessment activity carried out on the Intranet,
- to record net activities meeting to certain conditions
- to start up specific customize actions to prevent intrusion

Fingerprinting
Net mapping
EasyServer allows to make a port scanning aimed at identifying open ports on the LAN PCs, so to determine the available net services. EasyServer can identify the operating system used by the LAN PCS and it an absolutely necessary tool for a net administrator as a penetration test in the web security field. Trough EasyServer it is possible to check the presence of non authorized applications.
